Ingredients:
-1 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
- 1 (16 ounce) can pumpkin (no seeds) - I like Libby brand - some others can be stringy
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Directions:

3. Add eggs; mix well.
4. Combine dry ingredients; stir into creamed mixture just until moistened. Stir in pumpkin.
5. Pour into two greased 9-in. x 5-in. x 3-in. loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until bread tests done.
Pumpkin Muffins
Ingredients:
-1 1/2 cups flour
-6 Tbs. sugar
-1 Tbs. baking powder
-1/2 tsp salt
-1/2 tsp cinnamon
-1/2 tsp nugmeg
-1/2 cup raisins (or golden raisins) optional
-1/2 stick butter
-1 cup pumpkin puree
-1/2 cup milk
-1 egg
Directions:
-6 Tbs. sugar
-1 Tbs. baking powder
-1/2 tsp salt
-1/2 tsp cinnamon
-1/2 tsp nugmeg
-1/2 cup raisins (or golden raisins) optional
-1/2 stick butter
-1 cup pumpkin puree
-1/2 cup milk
-1 egg
Directions:
1. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
2. Melt the butter and mix with the remaining ingredients just until blended.3. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Makes 1 dozen.
